Food fit for a king is served at this upmarket central restaurant. Amber Regent has a sumptuous and elaborate decor, almost suggesting that you are dining in an exclusive club. However, despite the veneer of sophistication, the atmosphere is always lively. There's no such thing as a quiet night here-it's always packed so remember to book. This is one of the more expensive Chinese restaurants in town but it's worth paying a little extra for such a high standard of culinary excellence. They specialize in seafood dishes but also create imaginative recipes like sliced venison in mandarin sauce and something slightly odder involving ostrich.
