Who We Support

Children's Miracle Network

In 1983, Marriott became Children’s Miracle Network’s (CMN) first corporate sponsor. Marriott's early sponsorship helped lend credibility to CMN. In 1993, Marriott Pride was created to give our employees an opportunity to get involved and help raise money for the children in their communities.

Marriott Pride supports the company’s business units, franchise partners and Marriott-branded hotels, Business Councils, and employees in North America to help raise funds for CMN. This initiative calls upon and enables all of these stakeholders to work with their local CMN children's hospitals on grass roots fundraising efforts.

Children’s Miracle Network is an international non-profit organization that raises funds for more than 170 children’s hospitals dedicated to battling diseases and injuries of every kind. With CMN, 100% of every dollar raised goes to the local participating hospital to help kids in that community. Children's Miracle Network hospitals are among the best in the world and are able to provide specialized care to all children regardless of a family's ability to pay. Donations to CMN create miracles by funding medical care, research and education that saves and improves the lives of 17 million children each year.

SOS Children's Village

Marriott’s partnership with SOS Children’s Villages began with local involvement by the Vienna Marriott in 2004. The relationship expanded in 2005 to include our hotels in Germany and Switzerland and now span nine countries throughout Europe and the Middle East. Hotel associates have supported SOS Children’s Villages with fundraising, home renovations and providing food and social activities for SOS children and their mothers. To date, our hotels have contributed more than $750,000 USD in cash and in-kind donations. Through the generosity of our associates and customers we bring a glimmer of light into the lives of these children.

SOS Children's Villages is an international non-governmental organisation that has been working to meet the needs and protect the interests and rights of children since 1949. They believe that every child should have the love and care of a family, and they look after children who have lost their parents through war, famine, disease, abandonment or poverty. SOS Children’s Villages plays an important role in protecting the rights and interests of children around the world.

SOS Children’s Villages has developed an approach based on building a community for children who have no one to turn to. They focus on four areas: promoting children’s rights, operating children’s villages, strengthening families and providing education and employment opportunities. SOS Children’s Villages supports and houses more than 72,000 children in a stable and loving environment in over 132 countries.
