The National Urban League
The National Urban League’s New York Chapter saluted Marriott International during its Champion of Diversity Awards for the company’s corporate leadership, employment policy, supplier relations and corporate giving.
Marriott was the only lodging company honored this year.

2012

Marriott International is #5 on the LATINA Style Top 50 Report
For 15th year in a row, Marriott International is named to LATINA Style’s top 50 list, and this year Marriott is the only hotel company in the top 10.

The National Urban League Honors Marriott International with the 2012 Corporate Circle Award
This award is given to corporate partners who demonstrate support through funding and strategic programs to help advance the mission of the organization's Young Professionals Network.

Black Enterprise Includes Marriott International in Top 40 Best Companies for Diversity
For the eighth year in a row Marriott International  has been recognized by Black Enterprise magazine as one of the 40 Best Companies for Diversity.

DiversityInc Ranks Marriott International #1 in Supplier Diversity
For second year in a row, Marriott International is #1 in supplier diversity on DiversityInc magazine’s 2012 Top 50 Companies for Diversity.

Working Mother Names Marriott International a Best Company for Hourly Workers
For the third consecutive year, Marriott International was named to Working Mother’s Best Companies for Hourly Workers.

HispanicBusiness Named Marriott International a Supplier Diversity Leader
HispanicBusiness magazine named Marriott International a supplier diversity leader.  Ranked at #10, Marriott was the only hotel company in the top 10.

Marriott Leaders Honored by Trumpet Awards Foundation
Marriott International leaders Erika Alexander, Area Vice President, Southern Region; Robert Woolridge - GM Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway and Erica Qualls - GM Atlanta Marriott Marquis and Ritz-Carlton leaders Olivia Brown, The Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia and Russell Miller, The Ritz-Carlton New Orleans were honored by the Trumpet Awards Foundation during the 20th Annual Trumpet Awards as African American achievers in the hospitality industry who embodied the spirit and principles of the Trumpet Awards.

National Association for Female Executives (NAFE) Recognizes Marriott 
Marriott International, Inc., was recognized by the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE) as one of the Top 50 Companies For Women in 2012.  Marriott was ranked in the top 15 on this list, which recognizes organizations whose policies and practices encourage the advancement of women.

Marriott in the UAE Places Third in the Great Place to Work® Institute Survey of Top Employers for 2012
Marriott International has been recognized as one of the top three “Top Companies to Work for in the United Arab Emirates” for 2012 by Great Place to Work Institute, a global research and management consultancy.  Marriott in the UAE ranked third in the competition, behind FedEx at number one and Microsoft at number two.

Marriott International Named Top Employer in China
Marriott International, Inc. has been named one of “China’s Top Employers 2012” by the CRF Institute, an independent organization that runs its proprietary Top Employers projects in key international markets.  Marriott is the only hotel management company in the winners list.

Marriott Recognized as Outstanding Corporation for Women-Owned Businesses
Marriott International was recently honored by The Women Presidents’ Educational Organization (WPEO) as an "Outstanding Corporation" because it creates access for Women’s Business Enterprises (WBEs) to private-sector opportunities.  The award is given to one New York-based and one Washington, D.C.-based WPEO Corporate Sponsor that has contributed to the WPEO, has supported other women in business and has developed innovative resources and initiatives for supplier diversity

Marriott Named a Top Corporation for Women-Owned Businesses
The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) recently announced Marriott as one of America’s Top Corporations for Women’s Business Enterprises.  This award is the only national award honoring corporations for world class programs that level the playing field for women’s business enterprises (WBEs) to compete for corporate business.  Marriott was recognized for developing and driving innovative best practices that result in productive business partnerships with women entrepreneurs and valuable products and services for its customers.

2011

Marriott named to "World's Best Multinational Workplaces" List
Marriott International, Inc., was named one of the “World’s Best Multinational Workplaces” by Great Place to Work® Institute. The ranking is the world’s largest annual study of workplace excellence and identifies the top 25 best companies to work for in the world. Marriott ranked in the top 10, and was the only lodging company to be included on this inaugural list. Marriott has a history of being named on “best places to work” lists in countries around the world, including India, Mexico, Peru, United Arab Emirates, and the U.S.

Marriott named to the HispanicBusiness 2011 Diversity Directory Top 10
HispanicBusiness magazine named Marriott to the HispanicBusiness "2011 Diversity Best Companies", an annual list that measures a company's commitment to Hispanic hiring, promotion, marketing, philanthropy and supplier diversity. Marriott, ranked #10, is the only hospitality company in the top 10.

MSD China names Marriott International Best Corporation Member of the Year
MSD China, an affiliate organization of the U.S.-based National Minority Supplier Development Council, named Marriott "Best Corporation Member of the Year 2011."

Marriott named to the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Million Dollar Club
Marriott International was named a member of the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s Million Dollar Club, which recognizes corporations that are leaders in supplier diversity and stand out for integrating Hispanic business enterprises (HBEs) into their strategic sourcing and procurement process.

Marriott ranked on the Working Mother 100 Best Companies list
Marriott International was ranked by Working Mother magazine as one of the 2011 Working Mother 100 Best Companies. The company was recognized for offering benefits and programs that help address the unique challenges faced by working parents. The company has been a part of this elite list for twenty years, earning a place in Working Mother’s Hall of Fame.

Marriott is #2 on the LATINA Style Top 50 Report
LATINA Style named Marriott International the second-highest ranked company on the LATINA Style 50 Report. For the fourteenth consecutive year, Marriott is on the ‘top 50’ list, which ranks the top 50 companies for Latinas to work.

Marriott Recognized by the Migration Policy Institute
The Migration Policy Instituted honored Marriott International with its first-ever Corporate Leadership Award for helping associates expand their language skills through its Global Language Program.

Black Enterprise Includes Marriott in Top "40 Best Companies for Diversity"
For the seventh year in a row Marriott International has been recognized by Black Enterprise magazine as one of the “40 Best Companies for Diversity.”

DiversityInc Names Marriott #1 in Supplier Diversity
DiversityInc magazine named Marriott International to its 2011 DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity® list. Marriott was named number one in supplier diversity, the highest-ranked hotel company on the list. Marriott was also named fourteenth overall making it the highest ranking hotel company on the list. Marriott was also included on two other specialty lists – Top 10 Companies for Recruitment & Retention and Top 10 Companies for Blacks.

Australian Indigenous Minority Supplier Council Recognizes Marriott
Marriott International was named as a Supplier Diversity Partner of the Year by the Australian Indigenous Minority Supplier Council (AIMSC) for providing business opportunities, one-on-one coaching and mentoring to indigenous companies as part of a three-year pilot program.

National Association for Female Executives (NAFE) Recognizes Marriott
Marriott International was recognized by the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE) as one of the Top 50 Companies For Women in 2011. Marriott was ranked in the top 10, and was selected for offering the policies and practices that encourage women’s advancement.

Marriott Recognized by Capital Area Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce
Marriott International and Randy Griffin, Vice President of middle market, government, affinity, small business and territory sales, were recently honored with the “Corporate Allies” award by the Capital Area Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce at a ceremony held in Washington, DC. The awards honor individuals and organizations committed to diversity and inclusion and doing business with the LGBT community.

Working Mother Magazine Names Marriott International a “Best Company for Hourly Workers” 
Marriott was one of 12 companies on the list, which celebrates businesses working to provide family-friendly benefits that promote health/wellness, education, flexibility and work-life integration.

Marriott Earns High Marks from the Human Rights Campaign
The Human Rights Campaign Foundation (HRC) awarded Marriott International, Inc., a high score of 90 on its annual Corporate Equality Index for 2012. 

Marriott International Beats Competition as Best Group Employer in the UAE, in Catererglobal.com’s Best Employers in Hospitality Awards 2011
Marriott International was named the best hotel group employer in the United Arab Emirates at the first ever Catererglobal.com Best Employers in Hospitality Awards 2011 UAE, sponsored by Hospitality Search International. The awards were voted for by some 24,000 hotel professionals in the state.

Andrea Padilla Named to Internationalist's Latin American 50
Andrea Padilla, director of field marketing for Marriott International in Latin America and the Caribbean, was honored as one of The Internationalist’s Latin American 50, marketing professionals recognized as today’s marketing leaders shaping industry for tomorrow.
