  • What browsers work best with

    We recommend viewing the site in a modern Web browser to optimally view its rich array of applications and visual features. The latest versions of the following browsers are ideal for visiting and interacting

  • Does offer Chat help?

    Yes. does offer chat.’s chat feature is initiated by our customer care team and is available 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. ET.

  • I received a chat invitation but don't see it anymore.

    Chat invitations are also based upon customer care associate availability. If representatives are busy assisting other customers, a chat invitation will not be offered. Chat is offered 7 days a week from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. ET.

  • How can I find hotels near a specific address?

    You can locate hotels within a 50-mile radius from an address.

    1. Click the "Advanced Search" link (next to the "Find" button).
    2. On the Advanced Search page, click "Near an Address" (located below the “Hotel”, "Deal" and "Event Space" boxes).
    3. Enter the street address you wish to be near without suite or unit numbers and click "Find."
  • Why is my connection speed to so slow?

    Connection speed to any website can be affected by many factors, including the type of Internet connection a user has (dial-up, cable, DSL, etc.), the amount of traffic using those routes or the amount of traffic trying to access a specific site.

    If you are experiencing a slow connection to, please close your browser and try to access with a new browser session. If connectivity issues persist, please contact us.



  • I get an error message when I try to log into my Marriott Rewards account.

    Do you have a Marriott Rewards account number? You may have a profile that does not have a number assigned to it. Sign in at If a Marriott Rewards number is not assigned to your account, you will be asked to confirm the email address you used to sign up to automatically upgrade to an online account. After upgrading to an online Rewards account, you should be able to access your information.

    If you have an account number, your “signed in” session may have simply timed out. Try signing out and then sign back in to view your account information.

    If you still cannot access your Marriott Rewards information, please contact us and we'll be happy to assist you.

  • How do I deactivate my online account?

    Deactivating your account will disable access to all online information, including your Marriott Rewards® account statement. You will no longer be able to review or modify information online.

    To deactivate your online access:

    1. Sign in with your Marriott Rewards number (or email address) and password in the upper right corner of the page.
    2. Click on the “My Account” link located in the upper right-hand corner of the page to display a menu of options. Click "Account Overview."
    3. Click the "Profile" link towards the top of the page.
    4. Once your personal information is displayed on the page, click on the “Deactivate online account” link located towards the bottom.

    Your Marriott Rewards account number will remain valid and you'll continue to earn points or miles when you stay with Marriott. If you'd like to deactivate your Marriott Rewards account, please call Marriott Rewards Customer Support at 1-801-468-4000 (Monday – Friday, 8:15 a.m.-9 p.m.ET) or 1-800-450-4442 (toll-free, 24 hours, 7 days a week.)

    Please note that the toll-free number is an automated line.

    As a Marriott Rewards member, you may reactivate your online account at any time without losing data in your account.

  • How can I update my personal information online?

    Once you have logged in, you can easily change your personal information. From the "My Account Overview" homepage, select the “Profile” link and select "Edit" for the informtion you wish to update.



  • What is a cookie?

    A cookie assigns each visitor a unique, random number (an anonymous user ID) that resides on your computer. The cookie doesn’t personally identify you and it cannot read data from your computer.

  • How do I enable cookies on my browser?

    For Internet Explorer, the cookies enable/disable functionality is located in "Tools" under the label “Internet Options”.

    For Firefox, you’ll find the privacy/cookies functions in the "Tools" section.

    Similarly, these preferences include an option to disable cookies. This is sometimes necessary when trying to alleviate certain technical difficulties that may occur.



  • Do I need to enable JavaScript to use

  • How do I enable JavaScript on my browser?

    1. Open the "Tools" menu.
    2. Select "Internet Options."
    3. Select the "Security" tab.
    4. Click the "Custom level" button in "Security level for this zone."
    5. Scroll down to the "Scripting" section.
    6. Choose "Enable" under "Active scripting."

    Mozilla Firefox 3 (for PC)

    1. Open the Tools menu.
    2. Select "Options."
    3. Select "Content."
    4. Make sure that "Enable JavaScript" is checked.

    Mozilla Firefox 3 (for Mac)

    1. Open the Firefox menu.
    2. Select "Preferences."
    3. Select "Content."
    4. Make sure that "Enable JavaScript" is checked.

    Apple Safari 3 and 4

    1. Open the Safari menu.
    2. Select "Preferences."
    3. Select "Security."
    4. Make sure that "Enable JavaScript" is checked.

  • I’m having a problem with the app. What should I do?

    If a problem occurs when making a reservation and you're unsure of your reservation's status, please call one of our Reservation Numbers (listed in the app under "More options > Call for reservations") for assistance in making your reservation.

    If the app is crashing or experiencing issues, please delete it and try reinstalling it from the App Store. If that doesn't work, or you have other feedback, please email us at and we will respond as quickly as possible.

  • Does the app require an Internet connection?

    Yes, the app requires either a telecommunications network or wireless Internet connection because it must use current data for most of its functions.

  • I was in the middle of making a reservation on the app and now it wants me to start over.

    During the reservation process, when you select a specific room and rate the system will put that selection on hold for you for a limited amount of time. However, if you leave the app and return to finish the booking later, you may be prompted to start over because the hold has expired.
