Community Leaders

Marriott takes seriously its obligations as a community leader when it comes to standing with the LGBTQ community as true allies in equality. It is fitting that at the end of a month commemorating the history of progress and pride within the LGBTQ community, we receive word that the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) will also become just that - history. We say Bravo!"

We are a Gay Wedding Friendly Hotel

The Gay Wedding Institute certification course focuses on the nuances and details relevant to the LGBTQ wedding ceremonies. The course covers language, terminology, laws and policies, gay wedding trends and traditions, wardrobe, invitations, marketing and much more. Katalin Nagy-Takio, the senior catering sales executive at our Orlando wedding venues, showed true commitment to understanding the ways wedding professionals need to be sensitive to the unique needs of same-sex couples. “She took the time to complete homework to ready her business to truly be equipped to meet this emerging market,” said Bernadette Smith, founder and president of the Gay Wedding Institute.”
