Downtown Riverwalk

For many visitors, San Antonio is the Paseo del Rio, an urban masterpiece better known as the Riverwalk. These cobble and flagstone paths border 2 miles of the San Antonio River, 20 feet below street level, as it winds through culture-rich downtown.

The Riverwalk has multiple personalities, quiet and park-like in some stretches while vibrant and active in others. European-style sidewalk cafes, specialty boutiques, art galleries, theaters and high-rise hotels are among the many San Antonio attractions that will keep you coming back for more. A river cruise accompanied by knowledgeable guides who share the stories of surrounding sights is one of the many things to do in San Antonio.
