  • Replaced light bulbs with energy-efficient bulbs 
  • Installed low-flow showerheads and toilets
  • Introduced water/energy saving linen program
  • Operates the most ENERGY STAR®-certified properties in the industry, as part of Marriott’s portfolio of brands Involves its global workforce in eco-volunteerism
  • 100% recycled note pads
  • Pens made from recycled materials
  • Eco-friendly water service
  • Meeting room recycling, where available
  • Online event menus
  • Organic flowers (upon request)
  • America’s Second Harvest, where available
  •  Recyclable box lunch program
  • Paperless billing

Green Meetings & Events

  • Amenity reuse program
  • Water-saving shower heads in all guest rooms
  • Water-conserving toilets in all guest rooms
  • Motion sensor and times light switches in service landings and storage rooms
  • Sensors and water-conserving faucets in all public restrooms
  • Optional linen reuse program for multiple-night guests
  • Single-stream recycling program for paper, cardboard, newspapers, bottles, cans and ink cartridges
  • Florescent lighting throughout meeting areas
  • HVAC system is scheduled to turn on and off in meeting rooms based on event agendas
  • Tissue and toilet paper made from 20-30% recycled fiber
  • Laundry bags made from recycled biodegradable plastic
  • Guest room keys made from recycled materials
  • Testing bulk soap dispensers in guest rooms. Current bottles made from recycled plastic.
  • All forms of stationary are at 30% PCW
  • Starbucks uses recyclable cups from post-consumer paper

Book any Hot Dates through December 31, 2013 and receive up to four of incentives, based on the number of guest rooms booked.

 

50-148 total guest rooms – Select one incentive
150-249 total guest rooms – Select up to two incentives
250-349 total guest rooms – Select up to three incentives
350+ total guest rooms – Select up to four incentives

 

Incentives

 

  • Three percent actualized guest room revenue credited to master account
  • Ten percent food and beverage discount
  • Twenty percent audiovisual discount
  • One per 35 comp. policy
  • Complimentary guest room Internet
  • Double Marriott Reward points (maximum of 100,000 points)
  • Seventy-five percent attrition
  • One upgrade to Platinum Status (one-year duration)
  • Upgrade board members to Concierge Level
