Chef Brad Turnbull
Executive Chef Brad Turnbull is a native of New England and was raised in Western Massachusetts in Stockbridge. He has enjoyed 27 years of service with Marriott Hotels and Resorts, and has been the Executive Chef at the Boston Quincy Marriott since we opened in May of 2001. He has worked in seven states and two countries including Canada.
Brad earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Restaurant and Travel Administration from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. He has had multiple achievements in his career, including being certified as an Executive Chef by the American Culinary Federation with supplemental accreditations by the Culinary Institute of America in Graystone, Napa Valley. Brad has also received training in Hyde Park, New York as well. To date Brad has now been in the culinary industry for over 30 years.
Brad has worked a number of charity events including the South Shore Chamber of Commerce and Partners Home Care. Although he certainly has the experience and skills to do quite well in culinary competitions, Brad focuses his energy and time on the various food and beverage outlets at the hotel whether it be Hancock’s, Kilroy’s, Banquets or Room Service. He is always looking for ways to enhance and improve our culinary offerings, keeping them fresh – literally and figuratively.
Brad is also recognized within Marriott as a leader in building strong culinary teams, and always encourages & empowers his players to grow their skills. We feel very fortunate to have Chef Brad Turnbull leading our culinary efforts here at the Boston Marriott Quincy – and trust you do as well.
