Le Pinxo

About le Pinxo

The name “Pinxo” is a play on words from the chef’s native region, southwest France, where “pinxas” is the word for tapas and “pincher” means “to grab” or even “steal.” Why not just do so from your neighbor’s plate?

The Chef's Quote

“Sharing is about conviviality,” says Le Pinxo’s managing chef, Fabrice Dubos. “When you share your food, it’s welcoming, friendly.”

A Prime Location

The location is one of the joys of this restaurant. Located in one of the most stylish areas of The City of Lights and steps away from the Place Vendôme and Place de la Concorde, this is the most convenient restaurants Paris has to offer.

Le Pinxo is one of the most surprising creations of the top chef Alain Dutournier. Enjoy fine dining at this prime pit-stop in the Louvre area.

Alain Dutournier

Alain Dutournier is the chef who has found a way to transform pleasant dishes from the southwest of France into haute cuisine. Born in 1949 in the small village of Cagnotte, he was raised in the family auberge.

After moving to Paris, he opened the beautiful bistro Au Trou Gascon and served rural dishes from his home-region.

Soon the little restaurant was too small for his talent and he opened Le Carré de Feuillants, near Place Vendôme, which has been awarded two stars by the Michelin guide.

In 2003, he opened his third restaurant Le Pinxo, a casualchic Tapas experience. Today, Alain Dutournier is considered one of the top Parisian chef’s of his time, and Le Pinxo is one of the best restaurants in Paris.
