About the Chef
Our seasoned chef knows how to combine the right ingredients to please every palate. A native of Argentina, Executive Chef Diego Fernandez joined College Park Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in 2011, and was instrumental in launching The Common in 2013.
Chef Fernandez celebrates Maryland’s culinary treasures with a menu created with locally made pasta and herbs from an in-house garden, as well as beer, wine and spirits from local area brewers, vintners and distilleries. He emphasizes food that feels familiar and comfortable, and prepares it simply to enhance natural flavors.
