Our Chef's Bio
Chef Andy Camm began his unofficial culinary career at a young age, watching and working with his parents in the kitchen. Fast forward through his university and Delta Hotels’ career, Chef Andy Camm is now the Executive Chef at the Delta Halifax and Delta Barrington.
In his cooking, he champions what he calls his regional culinary philosophy. Inspired by Nova Scotian cuisine, he is an advocate of supporting the local economy and emphasizes the importance of maintaining contact with other chefs and farmers.
In addition to the culinary aspects of his profession, Chef Camm enjoys the social opportunities that his position provides. His management role enables him to interact with the guests, as well as with members of the culinary team. He further adds that one of the most rewarding and enriching aspects of his position is working with his staff and seeing the growth of “up and coming” chefs. He explains that absorbing knowledge from co-workers helps to build on his own.
