Chattanooga

Located in the mountains of southern Tennessee, Chattanooga is a welcoming place with a rich history to explore, starting with the Civil War Trail and numerous battlefields. For a glimpse of another piece of Chattanooga history—trains—our hotel’s guests should visit the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum and ride the Incline Railway, the steepest passenger train in the world.

Scenic Lookout Mountain and the Appalachian Trail are breathtaking in every season, and if you’d rather go inside a mountain than over it, Ruby Falls offers an elevator ride down into a natural cavern with a huge underground waterfall. Or take a ride on the Southern Belle Paddlewheel Riverboat along the Tennessee River. For indoor fun, the Hunter Museum of American Art, the Tennessee Aquarium and the Chattanooga Zoo are three must-see attractions for everyone! If you’re traveling with kids, check the zoo’s calendar of special events before you visit. With exhibits like the Corcovado Jungle and Warner Park Ranch, the zoo holds a wide array of animal habitats to explore.

Downtown accommodations in Chattanooga are convenient to the revitalized North Shore District, home to the Walnut Street Bridge—the longest pedestrian bridge in the world—as well as restaurants with international, American and local cuisine. The city also features the East Ridge Flea Market, one of Tennessee’s largest, and plenty of nightlife choices to give our Chattanooga hotel guests a memorable conclusion to each day.
