Or stop in at one of Doha's many museums; the Sheikh Faisal collection is a must-see, with over 3,000 historic archaeological and artistic artifacts on display, while the Waqif Art Center features an intriguing array of exhibits and an extensive shop area with local art and jewelry available.
If it gets too hot, the crystalline Persian Gulf is never far away, and many of our Doha accommodations are conveniently located near the harbor. Take a boat tour departing from docks located on the Corniche seafront boardwalk, or stroll through the Doha Zoo, a pleasant oasis in the arid city. Rumeila Park is another refreshingly green area, with shade trees and a large swimming pool for escaping the heat. And make sure to see some stand-up comedy at the Laughter Factory before heading back to your Doha hotel room.
