El Paso

With lots of sunshine, a dry desert climate, and a high altitude, El Paso is the perfect Texas destination. Often referred to as "Sun City," El Paso is located on the Mexican border, alongside the Rio Grande River and the Franklin Mountains to the west. If you’re not into hiking but still want some of the best views of the city, take the Wyler Aerial Tramway up the mountain. Next, be sure to stroll through downtown El Paso and explore the many shops, restaurants, and accommodations there.

The El Paso Zoo is a popular destination that includes exotic animals in strikingly natural habitats, providing an adventure for the entire family. You can also tour the Fort Bliss Military Base, located in northeastern El Paso and extending far into New Mexico. Nature lovers will want to experience the huge collection of desert flora at the Chihuahuan Desert Gardens––and don’t miss the beautiful campus and unique xeriscaped gardens, requiring very little water, at the University of Texas at El Paso.

Our hotel’s guests looking for some outdoor fun can hike the trails of the Museum of Archeology at Wilderness Park. Or, for an indoor activity, check out the El Paso Museum of Art. The museum features collections covering everything from contemporary art to Mexican pieces dating back to the mid-1600s. After a long day of sightseeing, enjoy dinner at one of the many American, international, and authentic Mexican eateries, before returning to your El Paso hotel room.
