After checking into your Europe hotel, visit the amazing places you’ve seen in movies as well as those that may be lesser-known but also are worthy of your time. Tour the famous Louvre in Paris, and then get acquainted with the smaller Musee de l’Orangerie, known for its Monet collection. See the Colosseum in Rome, Westminster Abbey in London or Pompeii in Italy, and if your travel plans allow you to strike out from your accommodations in Europe, head for the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid and St. Peter Stiftskeller, a restaurant in Salzburg, Austria, which has been serving patrons since at least 803 AD.
Enter the buildings of a bygone age. Castles are a hallmark of Europe, from the well-known Neuschwanstein in Germany to Prague Castle in the Czech Republic to Mont Saint-Michel in France to Edinburgh Castle in Scotland. Be sure to visit at least one for a trip back in time and memories to share for years to come.
