Greensboro

Greensboro is a metropolitan area located in the Piedmont Triad in North Carolina. The city offers many attractions, starting with its downtown area along Elm Street. Here, visitors will find the Blandwood Mansion, the Carolina Theater, as well as shops and dining. Also nearby are the Historical Museum, the Cultural Center and the Children’s Museum. While you discover these Greensboro attractions, take a break at the Center City Park or the Newbridge Bank Park, both urban green spaces. Once guests have soaked up the downtown core, there are plenty of other places to visit in Greensboro. For example, head to the Weatherspoon Art Museum, which houses a large collection of modern and contemporary art. For those who prefer to learn more about history, there is the International Civil Rights Center and Museum as well as the Guilford Courthouse National Military Park. Nature lovers can check out the Arboretum or the Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden. Shopping is abundant in Greensboro as well, including the 45,000 square foot antique marketplace, home to over 150 antique shops and dealers, for many curious and beautiful finds. In the evening, enjoy a local craft beer at one of the pubs or catch a concert at the Coliseum Complex.
