Portland, ME

Portland is a small seaside city in Maine. About 100 miles north of Boston, it is located in Casco Bay and offers spectacular views over the ocean, rich history, and plenty of activities to discover. A first stop for all visitors should be the Old Port with its cobblestone streets, gift shops, restaurants, and pubs. Running along the water you will find Commercial street, with plenty of entertainment for all ages. One of the best-loved Portland attractionsis the Portland Observatory, a historic maritime tower with lovely views over Casco Bay. Once you are done exploring, hop on the ferry to Peaks Island for an afternoon getaway or sail on a 200-year old Schooner. Famous for its fresh local produce and excellent breweries, one of thetop things to do in Portlandis a foodie tour. Those looking for a more active getaway can rent a bike to cycle around the city, paddle around Casco Bay or jog along the seafront. Families can enjoy a play at the Children’s Museum and Theatre of Maine or go whale-watching out in the ocean. At night, Portland doesn’t disappoint either – listen to a concert by the Portland Symphony Orchestra or head to the theater for a show.
