Princeton

Princeton is one of the most famous college towns in the world and is located in the state of New Jersey. The city was first established in 1675 on the Delaware River and is home to the magnificent Princeton University Campus. In fact, many of the top Princeton attractions are part of the university complex. Guests can visit the lovely grounds, view the Princeton University Chapel, discover fine pieces at the Princeton University Art Museum, and stroll along the lovely Lake Carnegie. There are also many other places to visit in Princeton that are not part of the university. For example, the Princeton Battlefield State Park and Monument is an important heritage landmark. Another lovely historic mansion is the Morven Museum and Garden, as well as the governor’s official residence, the Drumthwacket. Additionally, nature lovers can enjoy a day canoeing, hiking, jogging, cycling, and horseback riding at the Delaware & Raritan Canal State Park or have a picnic at the Marquand Park in the city. In the evening, a great place to walk around, shop, and dine is the historic downtown that runs along Nassau Street. Nearby, visitors can also catch a world-class performance at the McCarter Theatre Center for the Performing Arts.
