From historical architecture to modern living, Yerevan has something for every taste.
A stay at our hotel in Yerevan puts you in the capital of the Republic of Armenia and within one of the largest Armenian communities in the world. Neo-classical influences abound here, and be sure to notice the large number of pinkish-colored buildings that helped Yerevan earn the nickname, “The Pink City.”
You’ll find many great sites In Kentron, the city’s center that’s near our Yerevan accommodations, and you may also notice that the city is arranged in a circular pattern. One hub is known as Republic Square while another, called the Opera District, is home to the Opera House, Freedom Square and Swan Lake Park.
Make sure you leave time to visit Erebuni Fortress, a 3,000 year old archeological excavation site featuring a museum where you can view tablets with cuneiform writing, and the beautifully preserved fortress itself was the founding building of Yerevan.
Afterwards, check out the city’s covered market, where you’ll find an abundance of produce, spices and other food stuffs to take back to your Yerevan hotel room, including some unique finds such as saffron, a very popular spice in this region.
