Cypress trees hundreds of years old give refuge to many endangered species of wildlife. As you continue past Trapper Nelson's, the river changes character from Cypress Swamp to Mangrove Estuary. The Blue Heron Fleet was established in 1955 by Captain Harry Nagel. The fleet has been family owned and operated with the third generation currently at the helm. Blue Heron offers excellent year round fishing.

Productive reefs (natural and artificial) exist in 50 feet through 200 feet of water. The Gulf Stream comes to its closest point of land around the Palm Beach and Jupiter Inlets. All of the fishing 'catching' is done within three miles of the shore. 

Be sure to ask the hotel manager about the catch of the day. If you hook it and if available, we will upgrade you to a full kitchen suite to cook it or freeze it.
