Description

A favorite for cinematographers and a whimsical haven for many wedding parties to take their own photos, Bethesda Terrace is one of the most sought after places in Central Park. The lower terrace is home to the famous Bethesda Fountain, designed by Emma Stebbins in 1868 and the upper terrace is where you can hop on a horse carriage or get a better view of Angel of Waters atop the fountain. The terrace also serves as an entrance point to the Ramble, the Mall or the Naumburg Bandshell. Ultimately, this place is an idyllic getaway from the tumult in the streets and it is sure to please those looking for a short stroll across the park as well as those who want to revel in sheer photographic pleasure.
