Description

The Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum is an immense facility, located on the Arizona State Fairgrounds. The building dates back to 1962, but the arena was given its present name in 1965. Seating a maximum of 14,870, it is utilized for many different activities, from concerts and sporting events to trade and tool shows. During the Arizona State Fair, concerts have featured many big-name artists in years past as well as the beloved Phoenix Suns basketball team when the place was known as the "Madhouse on McDowell". Today, the coliseum hosts the annual Kruse International Collector Car Auction & Show, the VSNA Book Sale and agriculture events in addition to many others.
