Historic Huntsville Depot (31 of 38)

The Huntsville Depot was used as a Union hospital, prison and as quarters for both black and white Union soldiers, who left graffiti on the 3rd floor walls. Climb on locomotives, examine Civil War graffiti, and listen as robotic agents tell about working for the railroad. The Huntsville Depot is also home to the Home of Rocket City BBQ Cook-off and Whistle Stop Festival every year. Photo courtesy of the Huntsville/Madison County CVB.
