The Gray Fossil Site and Museum is the only late Miocene – early Pliocene terrestrial fossil locality in the Appalachian Mountains. The 33,000 square-foot museum and visitors center features fossil displays, a gift shop, an overlook to the dig site with guided tours along with regular exhibits.
