Toyota delivers a customized "thank you"

Toyota was eager to thank its UK staff for their best-ever August performance, beating their German counterparts with an 11% sales increase on the previous year. Within days of receiving this information, the Managing Director was able to announce that all employees would receive a 'thank you' in the next day’s mail. This was an attractive gift wallet containing a Marriott incentive award branded especially for Toyota, giving two nights' deluxe accommodations for two people at any Marriott Hotel in the UK. Toyota also arranged with Marriott that all major extras such as breakfast and dinner would be included. Marriott also set up dedicated toll-free phone reservations number for easy booking. This employee incentive program was warmly received by all.

Extra Motivation for BA's High Flyers

British Airways used Marriott Individual Incentives to encourage its Executive Club members to fly again during a difficult period for the airline industry worldwide. Following the program’s launch in the UK and Ireland, similar re-activation programs were set up in Africa, Asia Pacific and EU/Latin America regions. The African regional office enjoyed particular success, with Natasha Mengel, a British Airways Loyalty Marketing Executive in Africa commenting, "We are delighted to have reached our anticipated total response halfway through the campaign."

Driving Callaway Golf Club sales

Marriott, with its many superb golf courses, made for a perfect partner for Callaway Golf. In a unique consumer promotion, Callaway Golf offered an award which gave a significant percentage off a 2-night hotel stay at any Marriott Hotels & Resorts or Renaissance Hotels & Resorts location with every Big Bertha Driver or Fairway Wood purchased. The promotion was rolled out in Callaway Golf's retail stores across the UK and Ireland between July and September — typically the slowest time of the year for golf club sales. The promotion, however, proved to be a big hit. Sara Nicolson, who works for Callaway Golf's sales promotion agency said, "We have received a steady stream of award claims from consumers over the period of the promotion. It has had great appeal amongst golfers."

Travel Inn – Thanx 2 U Program

Marriott worked closely with Travel Inn's agency to help develop its “Thanx 2 U” incentive program — a staff recognition program that helps to motivate team members to deliver improved and consistent service. It included a close tie-in with the Travel Inn corporate identity and a pack of branded merchandise that is designed to appeal to a wide range of Travel Inn staff. Created to recognize and reward excellent work by team members, the Travel Inn program has grown in size each year due to its success.

Fore Travel Creates the Perfect Solution

Fore Travel boosts sales with their “Travel with CaddyTrax and Marriott” promotion. Tony May of Fore Travel said, “Partnering with Marriott Individual Incentives and the Bonus Bucks program has been the perfect solution to stimulate sales of our golf travel bag product category.
