How does The Ritz-Carlton participate?
Marriott Rewards members can earn points, elite night credits, and receive elite benefits at The Ritz-Carlton. In addition, members can earn points and elite night credits for meetings booked at The Ritz-Carlton through Rewarding Events. Members can also redeem points for free nights at The Ritz-Carlton.
Do stays at The Ritz-Carlton hotels earn points?
Yes. All stays at participating The Ritz-Carlton hotels will earn points and will be reflected on the member's account summary.
Does The Ritz-Carlton offer "No Blackout Dates"?
Yes. Blackout dates are comprised of a limited number of dates on which redemption is not allowable, but our "No Blackout Dates" policy means that The Ritz-Carlton hotels will have standard rooms available for points redemption every day. Hotels may, however, limit the number of standard rooms available for redemption on a limited number of days.
What Elite benefits do members receive at The Ritz‐Carlton?
Member benefits increase with your level of membership. All Elite members (Platinum, Gold, and Silver) receive the following:
- Bonus on The Ritz‐Carlton Rewards Base Points – Elite members receive a points bonus on top of the base points earned during stays (does not apply to miles earnings). Silver members receive a 20% bonus, Gold members receive a 25% bonus, and Platinum members enjoy a 50% bonus.
- Exclusive Offers - Special offers from The Ritz‐Carlton and its travel partners, throughout the year
- Elite‐Only Redemption Rewards - Offer exclusive redemption reward opportunities created just for Elite members
- Priority Late Checkout - 2‐hour extension based on availability and request made morning of checkout (not available at resorts)

- Ultimate Reservation Guarantee - If unable to honor the reservation, the hotel will pay for accommodations that night at a nearby comparable hotel and compensate the member for the inconvenience.

How to Earn at The Ritz‐Carlton
How do members earn points or miles?
Members earn 10 points or 2 airline miles for every U.S. dollar spent on room rate at participating The Ritz-Carlton hotels.
Should I change my membership to The Ritz-Carlton Rewards?
There is no need to switch from one program to the other. Now that The Ritz-Carlton has joined the portfolio of brands participating in Marriott Rewards, members can earn points, miles, and Elite status for their stays at The Ritz-Carlton hotels.
Are stays at The Ritz-Carlton eligible for Marriott Rewards Elite credit?
Members of both programs earn Elite status based on the number of personal-stay nights at both Marriott brand hotels and The Ritz-Carlton hotels.
Can I earn points or miles by hosting an event or meeting at a The Ritz-Carlton hotel?
Yes; with Rewarding Events, any meeting or event that has a signed sales or event contract qualifies. This includes board meetings, room blocks, social events, banquets, etc. held at participating The Ritz-Carlton hotels. In order for guest room charges to qualify for point or miles earnings, the room block must be fulfilled with at least 10 guest rooms on at least one night.
What types of charges are eligible for points at a Ritz-Carlton event in the Rewarding Events program?
Qualifying charges include guest rooms (regardless if the rate is paid by the company or individual guest), meeting room rental, food and beverage, audio-visual services and equipment, any décor specially ordered by the hotel, and contracted ancillary charges at on-property spa and golf facilities. Taxes, service charges, gratuities, fees, and ancillary charges not added to the master bill do not qualify for earning.
Can I earn Elite status by booking meetings and events at The Ritz-Carlton hotels?
Yes. Members earn 10 Elite credits with every group, meeting, or event in addition to any points or miles earned. Elite nights are posted to a member's account with earned points or miles after the event has occurred.
How to Redeem at The Ritz‐Carlton
How do I redeem points for a free-night?
Members can book a redemption stay at The Ritz-Carlton online just as they would book a redemption stay at a Marriott hotel.
How many points does a free night cost?
The Ritz-Carlton hotels are assigned a hotel tier. The points-cost of a free night stay at The Ritz-Carlton varies with the Hotel Tier:
- Tier 1 hotels require 30,000 points per night;
- Tier 2 hotels require 40,000 points per night;
- Tier 3 hotels require 50,000 points per night;
- Tier 4 hotels require 60,000 points per night; and
- Tier 5 hotels require 70,000 points per night.
For all hotel tiers, when you redeem 4 nights, your 5th night is complimentary!
Can I redeem points for upgrades?
The point upgrades offered by The Ritz-Carlton will vary by hotel. If the hotel offers upgrade awards during the reservation process, members can book an upgraded room by using points (5,000 points per upgrade), or by paying cash directly (price and availability will vary by hotel). Upgrade certificates for any premium room types will be offered at the hotel's discretion.
Do stays at The Ritz-Carlton earn Marriott Rewards Elite credit?
Members of both programs earn Elite status based on the number of personal-stay nights at both Marriott brand hotels and The Ritz-Carlton hotels.
Will the 5th complimentary night be automatically applied after the first four nights at The Ritz-Carlton?
The 5th night will automatically be counted as complimentary once a reservation for a minimum of 5 redemption nights is made.

What is the relationship between Marriott Rewards and The Ritz-Carlton Rewards?
The Ritz-Carlton is consistently recognized as providing the finest personalized service. The Ritz-Carlton Rewards is the first luxury guest loyalty program that gives guests access to the extraordinary. Members of Marriott Rewards can now earn points, elite night credits, and receive elite benefits at The Ritz-Carlton. The Ritz-Carlton Rewards members will be able to earn points, elite night credits and receive elite benefits at all Marriott hotels.
Can I belong to both rewards programs?
No. Members may only have a primary relationship with only one program at a time. Although members may elect to have their primary affiliation with either Marriott Rewards or The Ritz-Carlton Rewards, it is possible to change membership from one program to the other by contacting Guest Services.
Should I change my membership to The Ritz-Carlton Rewards?
There is no need to switch from one program to the other. Now that The Ritz-Carlton has joined the portfolio of brands participating in Marriott Rewards, members can earn points, miles, and Elite status for their stays at The Ritz-Carlton hotels.
What will happen to my Marriott Rewards account if I join The Ritz-Carlton Rewards?
When members change their primary membership from one program to the other, the account number, Elite status, point balance, member profile, etc will remain the same. The member will begin receiving communications from the program selected and cease receiving communications from the other. Please remember that you do not have to change program affiliation to receive benefits at The Ritz-Carlton.
Does The Ritz-Carlton Rewards offer an Elite program?
Members of both programs earn Elite status based on the number of personal-stay nights within a calendar year at both Marriott brand hotels and The Ritz-Carlton hotels. The Elite levels and their requirements remain the same--Silver status after 10 nights, Gold status after 50 nights, and Platinum status after 75 nights.
Does The Ritz-Carlton Rewards participate in PointSavers?
PointSavers will be offered at up to a 33% discount off Hotel Rewards at participating The Ritz-Carlton hotels. PointSavers Rewards are available for limited time periods and participation and availability are subject to the individual hotel. The number of points required for PointSavers Rewards varies with the Hotel Tier:
- Tier 1 hotels require 20,000 points per night;
- Tier 2 hotels require 30,000 points per night;
- Tier 3 hotels require 40,000 points per night;
- Tier 4 hotels require 50,000 points per night; and
- Tier 5 hotels require 60,000 points per night.
For all hotel tiers, when you redeem 4 nights, your 5th night is complimentary!
