Making a reservation using a Marriott Rewards certificate
Reservations must be made 24 hours in advance directly through Hertz. You must give the appropriate IT number and certificate voucher number appearing on the front of the certificate to the reservations agent.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Hertz may limit the number of cars available for reward certificate usage. In addition, there are blackout dates when no cars are available for reward usage. Participating locations and blackout dates are subject to change without notice. Please contact Hertz for blackout dates. Present the certificate at time of rental to the Hertz rental agent.

  2. Rentals are subject to standard Hertz rental and rate conditions, as well as car availability at the time and place of rental. Minimum rental age for reward certificate usage is 21; age differential charges and certain exceptions apply.

  3. For rentals in the U.S. and Canada, the following charges are not included as part of the reward and must be paid by the Marriott Rewards member: taxes, airport fees, vehicle licensing fees and similar surcharges, additional days, optional refueling charges, Loss Damage Waiver (LDW), Personal Accident Insurance/Personal Effects Coverage (PAI/PEC), Liability Insurance Supplement (LIS)*, and other optional services as well as any additional charges that may apply for drivers under 25 years of age.

  4. All rentals may include a limited number of miles per rental day with a charge for excess mileage.  Mileage limits are based on local policy currently in effect at the time and place of redemption of the Hertz reward certificate.

  5. If an upgrade to a higher car class is chosen and available, any difference in rates is the responsibility of the renter.

  6. Reward certificate rentals must be returned to the original renting location or the certificate will be deemed invalid.

  7. Certificates are nontransferable and must be used for consecutive rental days and will be deemed fully used once a rental has begun.

  8. Certificates may not be combined or used in conjunction with other certificates, other promotional offers, travel industry discounts, tour rates, or any other Hertz special discounts or promotional rates.

  9. Reward certificate rentals are not eligible to earn frequent traveler bonus miles/Marriott Rewards points.
