What has changed with Marriott Vacation Club awards, and when did it start?
Since July 17, 2009, the number of points required for redemption stays at Marriott Vacation Club resorts changed. Marriott Vacation Club properties have been assigned hotel category levels, which means that the points required for a free night changed. This new pricing applies to Marriott Vacation Club redemption reservations booked on or after July 17.

How many points does a free night cost?
This chart shows the points required by category level for each redemption night for a Deluxe Guest room. Additional points are required for 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedrooms villas.

How many points are required for 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom & 3-bedroom villas?
A 1-bedroom is an additional 5,000 points per night, a 2-bedroom is an additional 10,000 points per night, and a 3-bedroom is an additional 15,000 points per night.

Why do the types of rooms offered for redemption at Marriott Vacation Club resorts vary by location?
Each property has a different assortment of Deluxe Guest room, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedrooms villas. Not all properties have all room types.

Does Marriott Vacation Club participate in No Blackout Dates?
Marriott Vacation Club resorts do not offer No Blackout Dates. Because Marriott Vacation Club resorts are timeshare properties, availability depends on whether the timeshare owners plan to occupy their rooms on specific nights.

I have a redemption reservation already booked for next year. Does this change my reservation?
All redemption reservations booked on or before July 17, 2009 will be honored at the current award schedule. If you have not ordered your certificate, please call Guest Services to order one.

I have a redemption reservation already booked but I haven’t ordered my certificate yet. Will I have to pay a different amount of points for the stay?
No, all redemption reservations booked on or before July 17, 2009 will be honored for the point-price at which they’ve been booked. You will need to contact Guest Services, however, to order the appropriate certificate for the correct number of points.

Can I use the fifth free night of the “Redeem for 4 nights and Get the 5th Night Free” reward toward another redemption stay?
The fifth night must be booked at the time of the reservation and applied to the same stay.

Will the fifth free night of the “Redeem for 4 nights and Get the 5th Night Free” Reward be automatically applied when I reserve a redemption stay?
Guests must reserve a stay for a minimum of 5 redemption nights at one hotel to receive the fifth night for free. The fifth night free will be automatically applied when guests reserve for a minimum 5-night redemption stay.

Did PointSaver® Rewards at Marriott Vacation Club resorts change?
Since the points required for a free night at Marriott Vacation Club have changed, the points required for PointSavers Rewards also changed. PointSaver Rewards are offered at up to a 33% points discount off Hotel Rewards. PointSavers Rewards are available for limited time periods, and participation and availability of PointSavers Rewards are at the discretion of the resort. Members can redeem their points for PointSavers Rewards at participating hotels when available.
