Management

Managers at The Ritz-Carlton can take advantage of on-the-job training, as well as various instructor-led classes and activities, including:

  • eLearning classes: Financial Essentials, Managing Your Career, Preparing a Business Plan and Managing Workplace Stress and many others are available in our Learning Management System.
  • Task Force: Expand your learning through real-world experiences with projects and volunteer assignments at other locations.
  • Daily Line-Ups: A key component of our learning strategy, daily Line-Ups are used to reinforce our Gold Standards and inform our Ladies and Gentlemen about company events, news, and industry best practices and guidance.

 

Non-Management

Non-management employees also enjoy a wide range of instructor-led classes, workshops and eLearning classes:

  • Service training: Help reinforce skills and techniques for anticipating guests’ needs, resolving guest issues, and delivering outstanding service.
  • Lateral service: Learn by volunteering to work in other departments.
  • Daily Line-Ups: A key component of our learning strategy, Daily Line-ups are used to reinforce our Gold Standards and inform our Ladies and Gentlemen about company events, news, and industry best practices and guidance.

 

This first step welcomes Ladies and Gentlemen to The Ritz-Carlton, and shares our culture and philosophy. It provides a solid foundation that ensures you are set to succeed.

After orientation, you will partner with a learning coach in your department who will guide you through gaining the necessary skills to do your job successfully.

This training program enables you to master The Ritz-Carlton approach to service in any circumstance.  Communication skills, problem resolution techniques, and even internal relationships are discussed and practiced over the course of six separate training modules.

As a follow-up to orientation, this workshop is designed to ensure your engagement and success as you begin your storied career with The Ritz-Carlton.

The celebration of your first anniversary of your career with The Ritz-Carlton also gives you an opportunity to re-energize our Gold Standards and culture.
