For John Willard and Alice Marriott, Fairfield Farm was love at first sight. The view of the Blueridge Mountains and gentle flow of the Rappahannock River reminded J.W. of his childhood back in Utah. They purchased the farm in 1951 and began hosting family, friends, business associates and dignitaries.
