A government approved beach restoration project, led by the resort, is planned to replenish the shoreline with sustainable sand while protecting coral and local wildlife, ensuring a vibrant and resilient beachfront for all to enjoy.
This exciting new chapter will bring together beachfront dining, vibrant seaside events, and family friendly experiences, from spa treatments to beachside bonfires, offering timeless memories shaped by sun, sea, and the spirit of Cayman.

Guests can look forward to dining experiences envisioned right on the sand and curated beachfront events designed to celebrate life by the sea. Families and couples alike can relax with evening bonfires and s’mores, lounge on the beach, or take part in the resort’s signature Summer House programming, all capturing the island’s laid back, carefree spirit.

In this new chapter, guests will be able to savor fresh seafood, coastal flavors, and handcrafted cocktails while feeling the sand beneath their feet.
With just a tap on their phone, they can enjoy a curated selection of food and beverages delivered directly to their beach chairs, from signature dishes to piña coladas and bespoke cocktails, as the sand and sea set the scene.

The beach restoration is expected to begin in mid-2026 and be completed later that year, returning a vibrant, sun kissed shoreline for guests to enjoy and creating the perfect setting for beachfront experiences along Seven Mile Beach.
As the beachside will be restored, access to the hotel’s beach will be temporarily closed. During this time, the pool area, guest rooms, and indoor amenities will remain available.
Our team will be fully committed to ensuring a seamless experience throughout the process, taking care of every detail so that guests can relax and enjoy their stay with complete peace of mind.
Both Marriott Bonvoy members and non-members may book at one of our sister Marriott properties. Prior reservations can be rebooked or cancelled according to your reservation’s cancellation policy.
Our two restaurants, Den and Ascia, along with the Anchor Bar & Lounge and Whitelime, our coffee bar, will not be affected. Guests can continue to enjoy all dining experiences at these outlets without interruption during the beach restoration.
Our Summer House pool and surrounding area, Botanika Union Spa, and our retail shop, The Mercantile, will continue to operate as usual and will not be affected by the beach restoration.
For safety reasons, beach access will be temporarily closed during the restoration process.
To ensure you can still enjoy the beach, our complimentary shuttle service will run hourly from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm to Public Beach and Governor’s Beach
