Wildlife Conservation: Why It Matters
Animal Cruelty Remains a Concern in Thailand
Thailand has one of the richest biodiversity in Asia. However, human activities often result in animal exploitation, which are pushing Thailand’s indigenous creatures to the brink of extinction.
With tourism being one of the key industries in Thailand that supports local livelihoods, many might overlook the impact of animal focused tourism. There are thousands of wild animals held captive in Thailand for the wrong reasons, and many work in tourism entertainment venues without proper regulations.

Wildlife Conservation: The Experience
Join a Wildlife Meet, Greet and Feed Experience
In partnership with the Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand, we invite guests to meet and interact with the rescued animals living at the Wildlife Rescue Center and Elephant Refuge.
During a half-hour ride from the hotel to the Wildlife Rescue Center, Wildlife Hospital, and Elephant Refuge, guests will learn about the conservation efforts through watching educational programs that were filmed in collaboration with organizations including Bondi Vet, Animal Planet, and National Geographic.
Upon arrival, guests will join a tour of the animal shelter and meet hundreds of animals, followed by a guided tour to learn about rescued elephant’s stories and personalities. Guests will then get up close and personal with rescued elephants in a way that is cruelty-free and does not exploit them.
Finally, guests will have a hands-on experience to help the centre prepare elephant food and feed the majestic yet friendly animal.

Wildlife Conservation: The Impact
Help Save Thailand’s Wildlife from Abuse and Exploitation
The unique program at the Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand (WFFT) serves as an important step forward in wildlife conservation.
WFFT has given shelter to thousands of wild and mistreated animals in Thailand and aims to save thousands more each year from poor and inhumane conditions before eventually rehabilitating and releasing them back into the wild. Yet, the first step to wildlife conservation is raising awareness of animal rights among local communities and tourists through education. The program aims to educate and encourage local people – especially children, tourists, and international communities to understand the consequences of their actions and learn to appreciate and protect wild animals and their natural habitats.
