Opened on March 11, 1901, the Honolulu resort— originally the “Moana Hotel”—was built as the first hotel in Waikiki Beach. Historic Banyan Wing
The Historic Banyan Wing provides an intimate and charming setting reminiscent of a bygone era. Dating back to 1901, each room in the wing is unique due to its place on the National Register of Historic Places.
The most contemporary of the three wings, the Tower Wing offers spacious guestrooms with private lanais (balconies) offering a choice of unparalleled Waikiki Beach views, stunning vistas of iconic Diamond Head, or the city skyline.
Originally opened as The Surfrider Hotel, this airy and light-filled wing of the resort runs parallel to Waikiki Beach. Half of the rooms are oceanfront rooms with beloved rocking chairs to enjoy the cool Pacific breezes, the other half have views of vibrant Kalakaua Avenue.
