Space Center Houston

Expand your horizons at Space Center Houston, 12 miles from the Courtyard Houston Hobby Airport. Serving as the visitor center for NASA's Johnson Space Center, this learning center and interactive museum focuses on space exploration.

Walk through the space shuttle replica, touch a space rock or explore one of the traveling exhibits. Get an up-close look at the facilities with a tram tour, then see the impressive Saturn V at the Rocket Park.


Almeda Mall

Just 4 miles southeast of our hotel, you'll find the Almeda Mall. Stop by the department stores and update your wardrobe or take your kids to the toy stores so they can pick out something fun. If you forgot anything for your cruise, there are 66 stores, so you can pick up whatever you're missing. After you're done shopping, stop by one of the delicious restaurants for lunch or dinner.


Kemah Boardwalk

Head to the shore for a day of excitement on the Kemah Boardwalk. Located 22 miles from our hotel on Galveston Bay, this theme park offers everything you need for family-friendly fun. Ride the Boardwalk Bullet coaster, then get a bird's eye view of the area from the Ferris wheel. Not a thrill seeker? Play games on the midway, pet stingrays in the reef, dine on a delicious meal or look through the eclectic mix of shops.

Houston Zoo

Take a walk on the wild side at the Houston Zoo, located 9 miles away in Hermann Park. It is one of the busiest zoos in the country with a wide variety of animal exhibits. Learn more about conservation while visiting the collection of carnivores, including tigers, lions and leopards. There is a herd of elephants, an expansive aquarium and a fun sea lion pool. Younger visitors will love the children's zoo.
