The hotel has been crafted into an environment that is the ultimate expression of elegance and calm. Each space soothes the senses while still preserving the authentic and historic character of features like the 19th century wrought iron columns, which invite guests to appreciate the beautiful heritage of this site. Hosting one of the oldest perfumeries in Madrid that open its doors in 1899 to a shop called Alvarez Gómez, the building has a unique legacy of capturing the true essence of the city. While in the front of the store perfumes made of the finest, freshest ingredients were sold, in the back room perfume mingled with the smell of cigars and coffee as the city's finest minds met to socialize and debate. That legacy continues today, with the hotel attracting those who wish to discover more deeply the essence of the city and the building.
