Afternoon Tea

A favorite pastime of many luminaries, including The Mrs. Astor, who adopted the tradition at The St. Regis New York, the afternoon tea was a joyful occasion and an opportunity to host gatherings with close friends as a prelude to her grand galas. Today, Time for Tea remains a quintessential St. Regis tradition, offering an impeccable selection of fine teas and refreshments in an inviting and intimate setting. The ceremony is accompanied by a graceful ballerina performance and live piano music. Every second Sunday from 3 p.m. till 6 p.m. Pricing starting from 2500 rubles per person. Champagne Sabering

Orlov lounge bar has a cozy welcoming atmosphere and is know for its magical evenings with a live piano and signature Champagne sabering ritual. Dating back to the battles of Napoleon Bonaparte, who famously opened champagne with his saber in both victory and defeat, the art of sabering is the signature tradition of the St. Regis Evening Rituals series. “In victory, you deserve Champagne; in defeat, you need it”, -Napoleon Bonaparte. Daily at 7 PM.

The Bloody Mary

In 1934, Fernand Petiot, the bartender at The St. Regis New York, perfected the recipe for a vodka-and-tomato juice cocktail he dubbed the Bloody Mary. Deemed too racy name for the clientele, it was rechristened the Red Snapper. While the latter moniker may not have stood the test of time, Fernand’s spicy concoction certainly has. The Bloody Mary remains the signature cocktail of St. Regis, with each new hotel adding its own interpretation of the libation. Highlighting the original heritage of Fernand Petiot’s Red Snapper, the signature cocktail of The St. Regis Moscow Nikolskaya named Red Maria gives the iconic Bloody Mary a refined, Russian twist. Infused with the rich flavors of traditional borscht, the Red Maria is a savory reimagining of this Fifth Avenue classic. Taste the signature cocktail of the St. Regis brand in Orlov Lobby Bar or for breakfast.
