Cabin essentials include linens, towels, bath products, and basic cookware. Each cabin is equipped with a two-burner stovetop, mini fridge, dishes, utensils, can and bottle opener, kettle, lighter, salt and pepper, coffee items, and tools for simple meals. There is no restaurant or café on site, so we recommend bringing your own food. Indoor cookware is for stovetop use only, and outdoor cooking is available using the fire pit’s grill grate (prohibited during burn bans). All food must be stored inside the cabin. Space is limited, so pack light and consider a cooler with ice. Large appliances are not recommended. Cabins include a bathroom with a hot shower and a handheld mirror.

Rainy days are part of the experience. Many guests enjoy a slower pace—reading, playing cards, or relaxing inside the cabin. You can still explore outdoors with the right gear, so we recommend packing an umbrella or rain jacket. Bringing along books, board games, or other low-key activities is a great way to enjoy your time indoors. Cancellations or refunds due to weather are not provided and remain subject to your booking’s terms and conditions. Only in the event of a declared state of emergency may reservations be adjusted or canceled outside of standard policies.

Postcard Cabins Outposts are not designed to accommodate RVs, trailers, or additional camping setups. Towable vehicles, off-road vehicles, and similar equipment are not permitted. Class B camper vans may be allowed at select locations. A 4 wheel drive vehicle or ATV is not required to get to the campsite.

There is no front desk at Postcard Cabins. Check-in begins at 4 PM and you may arrive anytime after, with check-out at 11 AM. On the morning of arrival, details will be sent via SMS to the phone number provided with your reservation, including your cabin name or number, personalized entry code, and outpost map. GPS will guide you to the main entrance; from there, follow the map and signage to locate your assigned cabin. Upon arrival, enter your code on the keypad to begin your stay. We recommend arriving during daylight hours, as outposts have limited lighting at night and roads are gravel. At departure, gather your belongings, turn off lights, and press the lock button before leaving.

You can use text messaging or your cabin’s landline to reach the team for support during your stay or to call 911 in case of emergency. Wi-Fi and cell service may be limited depending on the outpost and carrier, so we recommend downloading directions, maps, movies, or music before arrival. If your entry code isn’t working, ensure the door is fully closed, reset the keypad, and re-enter your code.

Yes. While there is no front desk, support is available 24/7 via text or your cabin’s landline. On-site assistance can be dispatched if needed. Emergency instructions are also included in the in-cabin materials for your reference.

Campfires may only be built in your cabin’s designated personal fire pit and must be attended and fully extinguished after use. Food and trash should not be left outside. Quiet hours begin at 10 PM, and guests should avoid loud or disruptive noise. Smoking or vaping indoors is prohibited; outdoor smoking must be at least 25 feet from structures, and waste must be disposed of properly.

Guests should not move signage, barriers, or natural elements, or attempt to access on-site infrastructure, as this may cause damage and create safety concerns. Smoking inside the cabin incurs a minimum $150 fee per night. Violations may result in a $100 conservation fee. Refer to in-cabin instructions for full guidelines.

Local counties may enforce burn bans based on weather and safety conditions, and Postcard Cabins complies fully with all regulations. During these periods, outdoor fires and cooking are not permitted. Firewood and starter kits will not be provided, and all open flames must be avoided in accordance with local guidelines. At Outposts with extended burn bans, alternate grill options may be available to support outdoor cooking.

You may encounter wildlife, insects, uneven terrain, and changing weather conditions. Guests should come prepared for outdoor environments and dress accordingly. Maintain a safe distance from wildlife and never feed animals. Store all food securely inside the cabin, and keep personal items inside with the cabin locked when unattended. We recommend using insect repellent and performing tick checks after outdoor activity. Postcard Cabins is not liable for wildlife- or insect-related injury. 

Yes. Dogs are welcome for a $50 cleaning fee per stay. While we love all animals, only dogs are permitted at this time. Each cabin includes a dog bowl, leash line, and dog towel for your convenience. Dogs must be leashed outdoors and should not be left unattended in the cabin. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and ensuring they do not disturb wildlife or other guests. Pet owners may be charged for any damage or excessive cleaning required.
