From reducing waste, water, and energy use to responsibly sourcing our food & beverage ingredients, our sustainable practices incorporate:

Responsible Water Use and Efficiency

Sensor operated urinals, professional dishwashing machines with a maximum water consumption of 3.5 liters per rack. Provision of house filtered water for guests, rainwater harvesting system used for irrigation, maintenance, and restrooms in administrative areas.

Sustainable Products and Materials

Elimination of PET bottles, using exclusively glass or metal containers. All daily use cleaning products carry recognized eco labels, paper towels and toilet paper produced without chlorine bleaching and certified with environmental labels. Use of environmentally certified paper and initiatives aimed at reducing overall paper consumption, and no use of single use disposable utensils.

Waste and Energy

Waste segregation practices implemented throughout the hotel, refrigeration equipment free from CFC and HCFC gases, in compliance with national regulations. Automated exterior lighting controlled by photocells and integrated with the building automation system, solar water heating system composed of 86 solar panels.

The JW Marriott Hotel São Paulo Hotel is LEED and Green Key certified, the latter being the leading standard of excellence in environmental responsibility and sustainable operations in the tourism industry. This certification demonstrates JW Marriott’s commitment to adhering to the strict criteria established by the Foundation for Environmental Education, offering visitors a sustainable and responsible choice.
