Building on his degrees in electronic engineering and finance, Heredia went on to serve as chairman of various financial institutions in New York and Mexico, and finally moved to Tulum in 2004 to create a sustainable community that learns from and gives back to the local Maya, which finds its home at Papaya Playa Project.
