Step into your favorite storybook and see classic tales come to life at Gaylord Texan's 17th annual SummerFest event! Within our four-and-a-half acres of indoor gardens under glass, resort guests and locals will discover larger-than-life nursery rhyme themed décor, escape rooms, canvas and wood painting, scavenger hunts, and dance parties - just to name a few. Outside, resort guests will make a splash at Paradise Springs - our 10-acre outdoor waterpark featuring four winding waterslides and a relaxing lazy river!

Splash into summer at our 10-acre outdoor waterpark, Paradise Springs! Enjoy live DJ music, games, hair braiding, airbrush tattoos, lawn games and more. Complimentary and paid activities and experiences are available. Paradise Springs is reserved for hotel guests only.

Escape Rooms : "Escape the Amazing Wonderland" & "School's Out - Summer Breakout!"

Our Escape Rooms are back by popular demand with TWO unique experiences! 

Escape the Amazing Wonderland: You've fallen down the rabbit hole and lost your way. The Queen of Hearts has locked away the key needed to escape. Find the Queen's secret hiding spot and locate the key before she returns to the throne. 

School's Out - Summer Breakout!: School is out for the summer! Your teacher collected your smartphone and hid it after you were caught playing games during class and forgot to return it to you! Race against the clock to find your phone before the janitor finishes locking up the school, or risk being without your phone for the entire summer break! 
Double the fun by purchasing a combo pass, which gives you the experience of both escapes.
Price: $25 + tax and service charge per person (single room ticket), $45 tax and service charge per person (combo ticket)

Geppetto's Painting Workshop

Calling all artists! Kids and parents alike will bring their inner artist to life by painting a storybook-themed canvas or their very own wood project.
Price: $20.00 tax and service fee for (1) Canvas or (1) Wood project, $35.00 tax and service fee for any two items

Storybook Scavenger Hunt

Step into your favorite story and explore the timeless tales told throughout our resort atriums. Follow the clues left behind by storybook characters to help put Humpty Dumpty together again. After completing the scavenger hunt, return to the Hotel Concierge to receive your exclusive SummerFest souvenir.

Fairytale Art Tour

Journey through our four-and-a-half acres of lush indoor gardens while enjoying Fairytale-themed sculptures, paintings, and more from local artists!

Once Upon A Time Mapping Show

Let your imagination run wild as classic stories come to life on our Mission Plaza facade in this immersive video and light show. Free viewing from the Lone Star Atrium.

Light Up The Night Dance Party
Description: Let's party! Kids and kids at heart will join us in the atrium for a night of music, dancing and glow-tastic fun! Boogie down as we pump up the jams before the Once Upon a Time video show.

Build-A-Bear Workshop®

Bring imagination to life with Build-A-Bear Workshop®! Experience the Make-Your-Own fun by adding stuffing and taking part in our one-of-a-kind Heart Ceremony. Personalize furry friends with outfits, accessories, sounds and scents - it's the most fun you'll ever make.
