Santa Anita Racetrack

 

The Santa Anita Park is a historic horse racing track that is located two miles from the hotel, between the Arcadia County Park and the LA Arboretum. In the late 1930’s, the track was the entertainment venue of choice for the stars of the day, including Cary Grant, Lana Turner and Jane Russell. The track is best known for the exciting events over the years as well as the champion horses, Seabiscuit and John Henry, who called the track home.

Rose Bowl Stadium

 

The Rose Bowl Stadium, often known as America’s Stadium, is an athletic field that is home to the UCLA Bruins and is the site of the yearly New Year’s Day college football Rose Bowl Game. Since 1922, the Rose Bowl Stadium has hosted nearly every kind of event such as Olympic games, Major League Soccer games, Drum Corps competitions, FIFA World Cup games, concerts, The Tournament of Roses Parade, The Rose Bowl Flea Market, college football games and a yearly Independence Day fireworks celebration called “Americafest”.
