Palm Springs Art Museum in Palm Desert   

The Palm Springs Art Museum in Palm Desert serves the middle and easternmost side of the Coachella Valley. It features an architecturally distinctive, LEED-certified 8,400-square-foot building named The Galen that presents ongoing and temporary exhibitions of internationally important art in different media, including sculpture, painting, photography, and new media. The Faye Sarkowsky Sculpture Garden features more than 10 significant sculpture works on view surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens. Set in a lushly landscaped desert oasis of water features, native plants and winding walkways dotted with natural rock benches, the sculpture garden houses the art of modern masters. The sculpture garden is open year round with no admission fee.

Hiking Trails

A variety of trails for hiking enthusiasts, as well as those who simply love the outdoors and the rich history of the Santa Rosa San Jacinto National Monument. Trails include the Hop Along Cassidy Trail, named after television icon and Palm Desert Resident, William Boyd. The Randall Henderson Trail, an early desert visionary and author. He realized the area's potential and began to document its history and growth in The Desert Magazine, published in the 1930’s. The Herb Jeffries Trail, this trail is a tribute to the legendary “Bronze Buckaroo,” Herb Jeffries, a film star and recording artist from the era of popular western movies.


The Indian Canyon, located on Agua Caliente tribal land, are also a must-see. Undisturbed natural beauty is combined with remarkably easy access. The canyons are located just minutes away from the Renaissance.
