Swindon

A historic city in South West England that dates back at least to the Roman Empire, Swindon has a lot to offer our hotel guests.

The Swindon Museum has a wealth of displays for history buffs, and another must-see is the Museum of the Great Western Railway, which features a unique look into the social history behind England’s extensive railways.

Shoppers staying at our Swindon accommodations can’t miss McArthur Glen Designer Outlet, the largest designer outlet in all of Europe. After shopping and sightseeing, enjoy some international cuisine at Cosmo for delicious Chinese, Poms Thai for authentic Thai dishes, or stop in at Los Gatos for Spanish tapas. If you’d like to take in some nightlife, stop by an English pub like The Old Bank or McKenzies Bar on the way back to your hotel’s room.

Swindon is also located near several major UK cities. The city of Bath is only a short drive away, and is home to the Roman Baths. Built over 2000 years ago, these natural hot springs put out over 200,000 gallons of hot water daily. Additionally, Bristol’s Blue Reef Aquarium and the Bristol Zoo Gardens are sure to be a hit with kids of all ages. And Cardiff sits 78 miles to the west while London sits 78 miles to the east.
