ABOUT CHEF AKIRA BACK

Known for incorporating a sense of adventure and boundless creativity into his culinary creations, brand owner and culinary mastermind Chef Akira was born in Korea and raised in Aspen, Colorado.

Chef Akira spent his early years as a professional snowboarder and competed in the X Games. When he was not on the slopes, Chef Akira found himself just as thrilled and exhilarated in the kitchen as he did on his board and decided to pursue a full time culinary career.

in 1993, Chef Akira began his career as a Sushi Prep Cook at Kenichi in Aspen. Today - he has more than 14 restaurants worldwide in cities including Las Vegas, Dubai, Singapore and the 1 Michelin starred Dosa in Seoul.
