Chef

Primo is the creation of James Beard Award-winner Chef Kelly and her partner, husband and pastry chef, Price Kushner, previously a head chef and pastry chef at the celebrated Old Chatham Sheepherding Company in upstate New York. They left Old Chatham Sheepherding Company to found their first restaurant, the free-standing Primo in Rockland, Maine, and then later opened Primo at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes in Orlando, Florida. 

Nature

If you are what you eat - then make sure it's fresh, nourishing food, good for both you and the planet. Outside of our popular Italian restaurant, Primo, we cultivate a nurturing organic garden. Here, amid the mountain and desert landscape, we grow pesticide-free vegetables and fruits. The fresh mint, tomatoes, and strawberries go straight from the garden to our customers' plates, so they can enjoy ingredients that are both seasonal and sustainable.

Design

Chef Kelly's culinary philosophy is to make dining fun, unintimidating and full sensory experience. To that end, the design draws diners into the Primo "family" with an open kitchen, and expansive brick oven, evoking a sense of warmth and celebration with friends and family.

Seasonal Menus

To keep diners on their toes, the menu changes with the season and is complemented by an impressive, yet approachable, wine list with selections that delight… and even surprise. With its "Old World" charm, ideal setting among the foothills of the Tucson Mountains, and association with the prestigious JW Marriott brand, Primo is sure to follow the footsteps of its siblings and become a hit with guests and locals alike.
