Home Away From Home
My kids and I stayed at TownePlace Suites during a dance competition we attended in Downtown Louisville. This hotel was very conveniently located - just 5 minutes from our venue. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very nice associate who was helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Our room was beautifully laid out complete with a full kitchen setup, large bathroom and very comfortable beds. Although the restaurant was closed while we were there, the associate pointed us to numerous delivery options. Our food arrived easily to our room where we were able to use the plates, glasses and silverware in the kitchen to eat our meal at the table instead of eating out of plastic containers on our beds. The pool and jacuzzi were very nice and clean. Breakfast the next morning was good and fresh with a lot more choices than I anticipated. The breakfast area was very clean. We felt very "at home" the whole time. Overall, it was a great stay, and we are excited to go back again then next time we are in the area for a competition.

Louisville for work
It could be a nice place. Water pressure is horrible. Breakfast is very basic . Area is probably much nicer in the summer... The attitudes of the staff needs some adjustment.

Great place- affordable family stay
Wonderful place, easy free parking. Great pool & hot tub. A lot of room for kids to spread out in. Really liked the room set up for our trip. We were able to eat leftovers & had a table set up for games later at night, kids loved it & so did I. Right near the pedestrian bridge perfect afternoon walk.

Understaffed New Years Eve
Hotel is new, clean, and pretty. I think any other night may be alright but probably won’t take that chance. Seems as if the hotel tries to operate with a skeleton staff. One person was working and that was it. Hotel chose to close the bar/restaurant area on New Years Eve and have only one person trying to do everything, from check in to taking towels and things to people’s rooms. Paid a premium to stay on New Years and chose hotel based on what was advertised as being available at the hotel. I could have stayed one block away and been able to have a drink and snack at my hotel but chose this hotel because it was supposed to have the same things and was a suite instead of a room. Paid more to stay there. Instead we had to leave the hotel to do anything at all.
In the room the ac/heat is bad. It does not keep the room a consistent temperature so the room is hot and cold all night making it hard to sleep. The bathroom shower does not have a door and makes it cold to take a shower unless you stay under water. Bad design on that. It is spacious but needs a door. The shower head and pressure was not good either.
The room is spacious and clean. With it being new all dishes, pots and pans are available and it is laid out well. Bed mattress is comfortable. It’s like a mini-studio apartment.
