I love this hotel
If you like to ski, but don't like the hassle of dealing with ski gear -- this is absolutely the right spot for you. People to help get the ski gear in/out daily, people to help you take on/off your boots? The only downside -- is that I will miss this experience each time I ski somewhere else. The staff is unbelievably attentive and helpful -- even during its busiest Sundance season. The morning coffee, afternoon hot chocolate and s'mores all make it a special experience.

Stay Elsewhere
Poor overall experience. Stayed six nights in highest category one-bedroom suite. No one at driveway or door upon check in, service for breakfast for first two days horrific, front desk staff doesn't seem to care about anything, "butler service" is useless, other staff generally amateurish and unacknowledged, breakfast, especially when no buffet, doesn't compare to competitor properties. Hot water problem reported, never fixed. Exceptions: One server later in stay at breakfast and ski staff. I've stayed at Stein Eriksen over ten times for extended periods as well as at the Montage.

St regis has gone downhill
The service is not good anymore! We’ve stayed there many times and now since changed hands it’s not 5 star anymore! Lucky to have 3 stars ... I informed Amex (platinum and centurion) I’m not the first to complain... they are going to revisit and see if take off fine hotels and resort program... montage was wonderful

Disappointed
We have stayed at this lovely hotel for the past 5 years, at the same time (first week of Jan) with our young children. There is clearly an issue post Marriott. Something is just off (and other guests were saying the same thing). We are not picky/difficult people but when you are paying such insane rates, we expect a certain level of service (and we had it the previous 4 years) and accomodations. The issues started when we checked in at 2pm- a huge line and 1 person checking in. It took 20 mins. And even though we were guaranteed a 4pm check-in, no one had contacted us and by 4:30 we went to the front desk and they said our room was ready and they hadn’t gotten around to calling us because they were busy (?). We got to our room and it was much smaller than rooms we had the past 4 years. It then took over an hour for our bags to be delivered. We were excited to go to the jacuzzi (it was less than 10 degrees) only to find out both jacuzzis were cold and broken and there was no sign on the door letting you know! There were multiple other issues and it just seemed very downgraded from the amazing place we have stayed in the past. We tried to speak with multiple front desk people/managers and even the GM and now it’s been over a month and we have never received a response.
