Turnberry Adventures is your starting point for a whole series of pursuits including shooting, archery, falconry, 4x4 off-road driving, clay shooting, quad biking, water zorbing, and horse riding. Whether you’re looking for a fresh challenge or gentle exercise, you’ll find the guidance and tuition of our experienced instructors will make you feel at home on land or water.

Activities

All activities are available for hotel residents and visitors. Take part in a family-friendly activity, such as mini Highland Games and a GPS treasure hunt that will entertain and delight all. We also offer fun and energetic team-building experiences suitable for corporate groups.

Some of the activities are subject to seasonal conditions.

Rifle Target Shooting

• Get to grips with the latest in recoilless, gas-operated target rifles in a session conducted by our experienced guides. Aiming at a range of specially designed targets, this is a great introduction to rifle shooting.

Horse Riding

• Fun exercise, fresh Scottish air, and wonderful scenery—these are the ingredients that make horse riding here in Ayrshire so enjoyable. Our most popular beach riding on the West Coast is suitable for beginners and experienced riders.

Quadbiking

• An exhilarating obstacle course that incorporates everything from traversing logs to crossing water and covering rugged terrain will make it really difficult for you to hand the keys back at the end of your session.

Archery

• One of the oldest sports known to man, archery is exciting and elegant. If you're a beginner, our expert guide will help you get those arrows flying towards their target, if you're an old hand then you'll enjoy fresh challenges here at Turnberry.

Wildgoose GPS Treasure Hunts

• Your tablet with a GPS app will take you on an exploration of the vast estate around Trump Turnberry Resort, triggering hot spots and revealing fun challenges. Great for families and corporate groups playing against each other in teams.

Falconry-Group Display

• Surely the perfect start to any evening event, watch these magnificent birds of prey in a thrilling private display while the sun sets over the Irish Sea and Ailsa Craig. Witness the striking beauty and splendid flight of these peerless predators.

Clay Shooting

• Whether you’re a complete novice or wishing to enhance your skills, our clay target shooting range has a challenge to suit your ability. An experienced guide will instruct guests and all the necessary equipment is provided.

Highland Games

• Presented by our kilted instructor, groups take part in a range of indigenous Scottish and fun events games; Caber Toss, Haggis Hurl, Put the Stane, Welly Chuck, Farmers Dash and of course Tug o War.

4X4 Off-Roading

• Cruise over rugged terrain in a Land Rover Defender on the specially designed 4x4 track under the guidance of our expert instructors. Master the fundamentals of off-roading, including ascents, descents, side slopes, and water splashes.
