Bill Nault

Vice President

Bill Nault is Vice President for Marriott International, Inc.’s Global Golf Division. His responsibilities include the oversight and management of the managed Global Golf portfolio (US & Canada, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific continents) and Marriott’s freestanding golf management contract business. He also leads Marriott Golf’s relationship with Marriott Vacation Club and Marriott Golf Academy.

Bill has extensive experience in multiple golf course facility types, including resort, public and private clubs within the Marriott portfolio. Bill moved to Marriott Corporate Headquarters in 1995 and has played a key role in the expansion of Marriott’s golf business and the development of luxury tier golf standards for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, LLC. His responsibilities also include development planning, acquisitions, feasibility, strategic partnerships, associate training and mentoring of numerous current golf industry leaders.

A graduate of the Professional Golf Management program at Ferris State University and Class A Member of the Professional Golfers Association of America, Bill began his Marriott career in 1983 as a Golf Professional at The Grand Hotel Golf Resort in Point Clear, Alabama. He has worked in several leadership roles at numerous Marriott golf properties including JW Marriott Camelback Golf Club in Scottsdale, AZ; Marriott’s Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach, MO; Castle Harbour in Bermuda; Marriott’s Wind Watch in Hauppauge, NY and Blackhawk Country Club in Danville, CA.

Bill has served as golf liaison to Children’s Miracle Network, helping coordinate countless charitable outings in support of Marriott’s Spirit to Serve initiatives and is an active member of several golf industry associations.

Jim Keane

Senior Director, Golf Operations & Development Planning

Jim Keane is Senior Director of Operations and Development Planning for Marriott International Inc.’s Global Golf Division. In this role, Keane is responsible for supporting Lodging Development in the acquisition of new properties, to include contracting, feasibility, access agreements, and management transition. In addition, Keane supports golf operations and vendor procurement programs for Marriott’s Luxury, Premium, and Select lodging brands throughout US & Canada, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific.

A graduate of The University of California, Davis and a Class A Member of The Professional Golfers Association of America, Keane began his career with Marriott International in 1993. He has extensive golf operations experience in multiple facility types, including resort, public, and private clubs.

Prior to his current role, Keane served in various capacities involving development and operations, and was Director of Golf at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Grande Lakes, in Orlando, Florida.

Brett Stark

Senior Director, Marketing & eCommerce

Brett Stark is Senior Director of Marketing and eCommerce for Marriott International, Inc.’s Global Golf Division. Stark is responsible for developing and implementing marketing programs that drive incremental rounds of golf and rooms/golf packages at the company’s managed resorts, as well as management fees, consulting fees, and technical services fees. Further, Stark assists properties in optimizing and implementing system-wide programs.

Stark leads eCommerce, digital, and social media programming, while directing all marketing, golf technology, and revenue management programs. Stark supports Marriott’s Luxury, Premium, and Select lodging brands throughout US & Canada, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific.

A graduate of Northern Illinois University, Stark was formerly Senior Manager, Client Services, for EZ Links Golf, working with many of the golf industry’s leading golf management companies and golf travel organizations. Prior to EZLinks, Stark worked at St. Andrews Golf and Country Club in the Chicago area, serving as Assistant Manager.

Robert Waller

Senior Director, Golf Grounds

Robert Waller is Senior Director of Golf Grounds for Marriott International, Inc.’s Global Golf Division. In his role he is responsible for the ongoing golf grounds operations and construction for Marriott’s Luxury, Premium, and Select lodging brands throughout US & Canada, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific.

Waller’s career began with positions at Pinehurst Resort and Atlanta Athletic Club prior to joining Marriott International, Inc.’s Global Golf Division in 1997. His first assignment was the construction and grow-in of The Georgian Resort. He was elevated to the Corporate Golf Team in 2000.

During his tenure, he successfully renovated or constructed dozens of golf courses worldwide. He authored Marriott Design Standards for golf course construction / renovations, maintenance facilities and agronomic programs. He created and executed a company-wide initiative to certify all domestic USA golf courses as Audubon Cooperative Sanctuaries. In doing so, Marriott’s Global Golf Division became the worldwide leader in Audubon Certified Golf Courses. To further expand Marriott’s leadership in operating sustainable golf courses, he created the proprietary Environmental Sustainability Performance Award (ESPA) that measures compliance with environmental metrics.

He has served as PGA Tour Liaison for multiple World Golf Championship and Champions Tour events. Robert is active in shaping industry wide initiatives with the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA), Audubon International and the National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA). He also is a Certified Golf Course Superintendent accredited by the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America since 1999.

David Robinson

Robinson earned a bachelor’s degree in Turfgrass Science from Pennsylvania State University and an associate degree in Golf Course Management along with a Certificate in Turf Equipment Management from Lake City Community College. He served as Superintendent of Golf Grounds at JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort, Golf Club & Spa in Naples, Florida.

Robinson is a Certified Golf Course Superintendent and a Certified Golf Irrigation Auditor. He is a member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America, the Florida Golf Course Superintendents Association, Central Florida Golf Course Superintendents Association, and the Florida Turfgrass Association. He also serves on numerous boards and committees within the golf industry.
