Rewarding EventsSM (“Rewarding Events”) provides Rewards Points, Ctrip Points, or Miles to Rewards Program Members who book and hold qualifying groups, meetings, and events (“Events”) at participating hotels and resorts. Members electing to earn Ctrip Points for Rewarding Events cannot earn Rewards Points or Miles in addition to Ctrip Points for an Event.

Rewarding Events is valid at all participating properties in participating brands: The Ritz-Carlton®, JW Marriott®, EDITION®, Autograph Collection®, Renaissance® Hotels, AC Hotels by MarriottSM, Marriott Hotels & Resorts®, Gaylord Hotels, Courtyard by Marriott®, Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott®, SpringHill Suites by Marriott®, and Marriott Vacation Club®.

Rewarding Events is not valid at the following brands: Residence Inn by Marriott® and TownePlace Suites by Marriott®.

A signed group or catering contract with the hotel sales department is required and must include the Member’s Rewards Program Membership Number.

The Member eligible to earn Ctrip Points must be either the main contact recorded on page one of the contract, or the authorized signer of the contract.

Excluding special promotions or incentives, Member will earn ten Ctrip Points for every one U.S. dollar ($1.00) spent on qualifying actualized Event charges, up to a maximum of 150,000 Ctrip Points per Event.

Qualifying Event charges – food, beverages, meeting room rental, audio visual equipment, and décor ordered by the hotel and paid for on a master account. Guest room rate charges also qualify only when contract has a minimum of ten (10) guest rooms actualize for at least one (1) night of the Event (with or without catering). Qualified guest room charges earn Ctrip Points for the Member whether they are paid for on a master account or paid for by the individual guest in the room.

Excluded Event charges – all taxes, gratuities and service charges.

Members who hold qualifying Events at participating hotels also receive ten (10) Elite night credits toward Elite status, which are awarded to their Rewards Program account along with Ctrip Points earned for the Event.

Ctrip Points will be awarded within ten (10) business days after the conclusion of the Event provided that the Event is not cancelled, and all other terms and conditions of the group or catering contract executed in connection with the Event have been met.

Rewards Points and Miles cannot be earned in addition to Ctrip Points for the same Event by a Member.

The Member does not have to be a registered guest or attend the Event in order receive Ctrip Points with Rewarding Events.

Only individuals can be enrolled in the Rewards Program to meet the eligibility requirements. No corporations or organizations can hold a Rewards Program account and are thus not eligible to earn Ctrip Points with Rewarding Events.

Members are responsible for complying with their own company or organization policies regarding hotel loyalty programs. Members are solely responsible for notifying their employer, principal and/or client of any Ctrip Points awarded with Rewarding Events.

Ctrip Points awarded for Events held at participating international locations are based on local currency converted to U.S. dollars. Local currency is converted into U.S. dollars on the day the Event Ctrip Points are awarded using a published rate of exchange in effect at time of conversion. This rate will be determined at the Rewards Program’s sole discretion, based on standard currency conversion methods, but may vary from currency conversion rates used by credit card companies.

The number of Ctrip Points to be awarded shall be determined pursuant to the Rewards Program Rules in effect at the time of award. The Rewards Program Rules and number of Ctrip Points available to be earned are available on-line at marriottrewards.com (Marriott Rewards Program) or ritzcarltonrewards.com (The Ritz-Carlton Rewards Program), and may be modified at the sole discretion of the Rewards Program at any time and without notice.
